The following print products were created for a couple hosting their special day at Kooroomba Lavender Farm, located in the Scenic Rim (about 80 km south-west from Brisbane). This breath-taking location features lush rolling countryside and gorgeous mountain views. My clients were particularly excited for their wedding invitations to include a “sneak preview” for guests of the beautiful view of the venue’s wedding chapel, along with their chosen colour scheme of warm white and olive green shown througout their stationery.
I started off my process using reference photos of the venue (taken by the bride-to-be) to sketch out a design for the invitation. Given that my clients were keen on hand-drawn illustration style, I used Photoshop to edit the composition and spacing slightly and remove any distracting background elements. This edited image was then digitally drawn over using the Procreate App on the Ipad. From this, I imported the illustration into Canva to create a first draft and share with my clients before printing.
The rest of the stationery items – Menus, Table Numbers and Labels Stickers – were also designed using Canva, which was my clients’ preferred platform for easy online collaborating. After a few iterations, the clients were very happy with the results and recieved positive feedback from guests and family for the venue-specific design. This was a really fun project and I’m grateful for the opportunity to work on something so meaningful and special.
